Merry Christmas!

Rory wants to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! He had a busy Christmas Eve, starting with a visit to Santa.

Then he went to visit Grandma and Papa before going to the Spano's house for a traditional 7 fish dinner. Of course he didn't get to enjoy the dinner, but he had fun visiting with everyone. Here's cousin Darren performing for us.

Santa Rory is very sweet and smiley.

Can you spot the best present we got this year?

Ten years later, another victory in the Metrodome!

On the first night of Hanukkah, the Falcons gave Atlanta a great present - a playoff berth! Rory enjoyed watching the game with his dad and he can't wait to watch his favorite team in the playoffs. Rory has boldly predicted a Super Bowl victory for his Falcons!

Happy Hanukkah!

Last night Rory enjoyed his first Hanukkah party. He had lots of fun and made out like a bandit.

I can't wait to open presents, Mommy!

Napping in my new chair from Grandma and Papa- my feet don't reach the ottoman yet!

Since I can't have yummy Hanukkah cookies, I'll keep sleeping. Eat some for me, Darren!

Papa and I are all tuckered out after all of the food and presents!

2 months plus

Rory had his 2 month appointment last week. As of that day, he was 8 lbs 1 oz and 20.5 inches. He is even outgrowing some of his preemie clothes.
Thanksgiving was lots of fun. Here are a couple of pictures from then.

Our little turkey seems to have succumbed to the tryptophan in his festive duds.

Growing

Rory went to the doctor on Monday. He is now 6 lbs 10 oz and 20.25 inches. We are very happy with his growth.
Rory had lots of visitors since our last post. He enjoyed making so many new friends.
Rory is looking forward to his first Thanksgiving. In addition to the local Atlanta clan, the family from Iowa and Tennessee are coming in to celebrate with us.

One Month!

Rory celebrated his 1 month birthday yesterday with the Lichtman family. He slept through most of the party, but woke up in time for dessert- smart kid!
Last weekend Rory met all of his (first) cousins. He went to Darren's Halloween party. Then, Zach and Ian arrived from Tennessee on Saturday. All of Rory's cousins loved him and Rory can't wait to get bigger to play with them all.
Enjoy these pictures from the past couple of weeks!

Rory went back to the doctor yesterday for a check-up. He had a great report and now weighs 5 pounds, 6 ounces, and his jaundice is almost completely gone. We will post new pictures soon.

Homecoming

After 12 days in the NICU, Rory was discharged from Crawford Long. He was very excited about his big outing and dressed up for the occasion. Unfortunately his outfit was a bit big on him, but he looked absolutely adorable. Here a few photos of him as he embarked on his big journey.

I'm 3! (days, that is)

Rory is getting stronger every day. He's still in the NICU, but has lost some of the tubes and wires, so he was ready to pose. Enjoy!

We are proud to introduce…

Rory James Lichtman was born at 1:51 pm on Wednesday, October 8th. He was 4 lbs 8 oz and 17 in long. He is in the NICU, so we haven’t had an opportunity to get any good pictures yet, but will put some out once we have some. We think he is a beautiful baby, but we are also completely biased!

We are sad to announce…

The passing of Drew Aaron Lichtman. Drew was stillborn at 1:57 pm. He was 1 lb 10 oz and 12.5 inches long.

Weekend update

Happy Friday to everyone! We had a check-up at Crawford Long today and everything is the same with the twins. That definitely puts us in good spirits for the weekend. It will be an even better weekend when the Falcons crush the Packers on their home field. Go birds!

A happy new year for the twinkies!

Today the twinkies had another ultrasound. Although baby B took his sweet time, they both passed their biophysical profiles (bpps). We were definitely excited to get a good report.

Happy new year to those celebrating!

Baby A in 3D

During the ultrasound on September 19th, Baby A posed for us in 3D. He is quite handsome, if we say so ourselves! Unfortunately, Baby B wouldn't cooperate to have his picture taken. Hopefully we will catch B in 3D sometime soon.

32 Weeks!

We had another ultrasound yesterday. Baby A did not want to practice his breathing for us, so they put him on the monitor for 20 minutes. He did fine, so they let me come home. Because they put him on the monitor, he got 8 out of 10 on his biophysical profile (they add 2 points for monitoring). Baby B did everything during the ultrasound, so he got 8 out of 8 on his biophysical profile. The blood flow to Baby B is still absent, but they did not see any reverse flow during this scan.
It is hard to believe that we have been on bedrest for almost 8 weeks now, but it seems to be helping the boys. Here's hoping they stay cozy for a good while longer.
Many have asked for pictures of my big belly, so enjoy!
